Phil Tiemeyer is in his second year in Liberal Arts after finishing his PhD in American Studies at the University of Texas in Austin. He is currently trying to get his dissertation project published, which focuses on the history of flight attendants. In particular, he is exam-ining the men who pursue this career, which is often deemed "women's work". He shares a particular passion with flight attendants--travel-and even interviewed to become one but got rejected.
