Valerie Hanson got her M.A. in Creative Writing (Poetry) from Temple and her Ph.D. in English (Rhetoric and Composition) from Penn State. She teaches writing classes here at PhilaU, currently coordinates Writing Seminar II, and does research on the rhetoric of emerging technologies, with a particular interest in nanotechnology, visual images and science. Oh, and she writes poetry when she gets a chance.
