Katharine Jones spent her childhood in Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean. She got her Ph.D. in Sociology and a Certificate in Women’s Studies from Rutgers University. She teaches courses about gender, race and class, sport, and Britain. She is currently chairing the University’s Tenure Committee. Her latest research project investigates gender, sport, fandom, and identity construction. When she is not writing about sport, she is watching “football” with her dog and cat.
