Thomas Schrand is the associate dean of the School of Liberal Arts and the head of the Environmental Sustainability program.  His areas of academic specialization are modern Russian/Soviet history and gender history.  Other research interests include instructional technology, active learning, and curriculum development and pedagogies for integrative learning.
