• The specially designed interdisciplinary Law & Society classes at PhilaU encourage debate and active student participation. Our programs are about developing leadership by building critical thinking and communication skills in an energetic environment.


• In addition to our exciting courses, (Please read our syllabi, a fancy word for class description), the program also focuses on extracurricular activities, which include,
• Participating in our award winning National Mock Trial Competition.
• Publishing the student authored Pre- Law Journal, "The Voice."
• Creating and leading University-wide symposiums giving our students the unique opportunity to authoritatively address large audiences. In 2010, we led discussions on immigration law and same-sex marriage. In spring of 2011, we will address the legalization of marijuana.
• Partaking in an Intramural Moot court Competition focusing on thought provoking appellate cases concerning civil rights violations.
• If you want to be a lawyer, or be involved criminal justice, this is the obvious major for you, however the leadership, oral and writing skills you learn in this major transfer to almost every profession and graduate program.
