Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, meaning that completed applications are acted on as they are received. To be admitted to the September 2016 SAS Programming Certificate, all parts of the SAS Application must be received by June 16, 2017.
In class instruction will occur during the first eight weeks of the program and will be provided by SAS Institute Inc., professionals from the pharmaceutical industry and experienced programmers. Participants will complete the five SAS Institute courses listed below.
Additional topics include an overview of the pharmaceutical industry, data issues, study design, data analysis and biostatistics. Participants must pass a final exam in order to receive certification.
This hands-on project will be directed by experienced SAS programmers and must be completed in order to receive certification. Program participants will have four weeks to complete their project. During this time, they will be working with data modeled after real clinical databases to produce tables and listings for a small safety study.
Participants will be given the opportunity to interview, on a competitive basis, with pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations throughout the Greater Philadelphia area for employment opportunities. Employment is not guaranteed.

Comprehensive tuition for the SAS Programming Certificate for 2017 is $12,950.
