Regina Cucé: Intern for Craftex Mills

  I have been interning at Craftex Mills, a jacquard weaving mill in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, that designs decorative and performance upholstery fabric. We weave a variety of damask, tapestry and matelasse fabrics that are then sold to furniture, hospitality, contract, boutique, outdoor and other fabric markets.  As an intern I help to keep the designers organized by updating yarn books and fabric swatch samples.  I have been able to assist designers with projects for product development as well as getting a chance to design some of my own fabrics that were damask and tapestry fabrics for both the furniture and the outdoor markets
