As illustrated in the above images, Print design continues the need for drawing and design studios and adds technology.

    a. During final critique students explain their design development to their instructors and fellow students.
    b. Student reviews digital output on fabric.
    c. Instructor helps student hand print a length of fabric
    d. Student samples colorways for her print design project.

Print Facilities
In addition to design space, print equipment includes the following:

Print Lab

    2 Print tables -- 2 yd; 15 yd equipped with carriage printer Screen stretcher
    Darkroom with vacuum exposing unit
    Screen washing bay
    Flat screens
    Arioli Laboratory steamer and steam generator
    small sample steamer
    Zimmer M.D.K 188 electro magnet controlled sample table for flat & rotary screens Small sample transfer printer
    Color kitchen for mixing dyes and pigments


    4 Pentium based workstations with Nedgraphics textile design software
    Epson Stylus Color 3000 printer
    Epson836XL scanner
    Wacom digital drawing pad & pen
    Software for print design, Jacquard and dobby weave, knit design linked to electronic Jacquards, networked to ENCAD continuous digital printer
