MBA Students Learn Firsthand About International Business
Students,
faculty and staff from the School of Business’
Full-Time Day MBA Program traveled to Eastern
Europe and Asia in early March.
The trips, each 10 days long, included stops in
Budapest, the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Hungary and Thailand.
Students who traveled to Eastern Europe met with
representatives from several emerging and
established businesses, including the growing Czech
Republic cell phone company Vodaphone and automobile
manufacturer Suzuki.
The Asia trip and related course focused on managing
organizations in a "flat world" and allowed students
to visit with officials from
Citibank and Johnson&Johnson, among
others.
Organized
annually, the international business trips are
designed to expose MBA students to global-business
issues and acquaint them with how business is
conducted abroad.
