Philadelphia University Partners with
ICFAI University in India for Annual International
Business and Finance Conference
Philadelphia University and ICFAI University,
located in Hyderabad, India, will host an
international conference on business and finance,
December 22 and 23 on ICFAI’s
campus.
Held annually, the first Philadelphia University and
ICFAI University conference was organized in 2003,
after ICFAI faculty approached Professor of Finance
Davinder “DK” Malhotra for guidance in planning the
event. As an editorial board member for two of
ICFAI’s academic journals, Prof. Malhotra serves as
program committee co-chair for the conference,
helping select papers that will be presented during
the event.
"The conference
provides academicians from around the globe with
valuable feedback on their research and encourages
joint research among presenters," said Prof.
Malhotra. "It also allows
Philadelphia University and ICFAI University to
learn from each other’s experiences in business
education.”
Previous conferences have attracted academicians and
practitioners in the fields of finance, accounting
and business management from across the United
States and India, as well as Australia, Europe and
the Middle East. In 2005, Assistant Professor of
Finance Philip Russel presented research, compiled
with the help of Prof. Malhotra, on the mutual fund
industry’s cost efficiencies.
As a leader in India in MBA education, ICFAI
University offers students bachelors’, masters’ and
doctoral degrees and prepares them for professional
careers in finance, banking, insurance, accounting,
law, information technology, arts, commerce,
education and science and technology. |
