Students Raise Awareness for AIDS

Philadelphia University students honored World AIDS Day Dec. 1 by making and wearing T-shirts on campus.

Using black T-shirts, a stencil and bleach, Graphic Design Communication student Kevin Furst ’08 (pictured left) helped students show their support for AIDS awareness Nov. 30 on the outdoor patio of The Kanbar Campus Center. Students were then instructed to wear their shirts throughout the day on Dec. 1 to recognize World AIDS Day.

Organized by the The World AIDS Campaign (WAC), World AIDS Day helps raise awareness about AIDS and those living with the disease. This year’s slogan, "Stop AIDS: Keep the Promise," strives to inspire people throughout the world to hold their political leaders accountable for the promises they have made about AIDS.
