Action Teams

The TLTR consists of several Action Teams working together to achieve the goals set by the TLTR. As these goals are accomplished and completed, new Action Teams will be created to work on new goals. The current roster of Actions Teams is:

Course Management Software: Goal is to provide oversight for our course management software system. This includes making sure our system is well run, is managed systematically so as to provide efficient operation and stable service for our students and faculty, and meets the needs of our institution. Members will also keep alert to trends in CMS products, and examine/evaluate new versions or new products. Additionally, this team will identify how faculty are using technology at Philadelphia University, and identify methods by which support for the integration of technology for teaching and learning can be provided. 

Roles and Rewards: Goal is to examine issues related to how technology impacts on faculty roles and rewards, and how, through existing governance structures and policies, faculty use of technology can be supported and encouraged.

Strategic Planning: Goal is to develop a strategic academic technology plan for Philadelphia University

Technology Awareness: Goal is to collect and disseminate information about all aspects of technology use at Philadelphia University.

Faculty Development: Goal is to develop programming to help faculty learn more about the uses of technology for teaching through lunch programs, faculty workshops, speaker events and other activities offered on campus.

Student Technology and Training: Goal is to examine the technology needs of our students, determine how technology can be used to help our students become technology users, and identify strategies for providing our students with technology training.
