Mission StatementHere is the mission statement of the Philadelphia University TLTR Philadelphia University's tradition includes the integration of teaching,
learning and technology to improve professional education. Since 1884 it has
offered professional education in a variety of fields. Founded to raise the art
and technology of the American textiles industry to international standards of
quality, the University has maintained its commitment to academic excellence
while greatly expanding its undergraduate and graduate programs. It is now
imperative to integrate the newest forms of technology into the education
process at our institution. The Philadelphia University Teaching, Learning, and
Technology Roundtable (TLTR) supports faculty and staff in achieving their
mission of academic excellence and providing students with the technological
skills for career success and lifelong learning. The Philadelphia University TLTR accomplishes its mission by bringing
together constituencies across the campus to advise, coordinate and assess the
integration of technology into our curriculum and learning process. The TLTR
facilitates the development of new ideas and exploration of new technologies. It
will advise the administration on establishing priorities for the allocation of
resources in the academic sphere. It will promote these activities by exploring
issues related to teaching technologies and nurturing an environment where
technology is fully integrated into teaching, learning and research. |
