Graphic Design Students Finalists in National Student Design Competition
Two Graphic Design Communication students, Ayana Bibbs '09 and Alex Cohn '08, have been named finalists in the national 2008 One Show College Competition.
One Show College Competition, organized by the professional advertising organization The One Club, awards students for excellence in advertising and graphic design. Students were presented with a brief to design a political poster to raise awareness and create interest in a social or political cause. Bibbs created a poster dealing with unhealthy dieting, while Cohn created a series of two posters dealing with abortion rights and secular education.
Cohn’s posters were created in a class taught by Associate Professor Frank Baseman and Bibbs’ work was executed in a class taught by Adjunct Professor Bob Warkulwiz. Awards will be presented at a ceremony in New York in May.
