The PhilaU Men’s basketball team picked up two more national preseason poll rankings recently in the NABC/Division II Preseason Coaches’ Poll and the Basketball Times Preseason Poll.

The Rams were the only Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team to make either poll. The NABC/Division II Preseason Coaches’ Poll rank PhilaU at #25, while the Basketball Times Preseason Poll place the Rams at a #12 ranking.

The Basketball Times also acknowledged senior 6′4 forward Malcolm Ingram of Philadelphia and senior 6′1 guard Russell Frederick of Baltimore as Preseason All-Americans.

The team starts the 2009-10 season at the Disney Tip-Off Classic in early November before hosting their home-opener on Saturday, Nov. 21 against Merrimack College at 1:30 p.m. in The Gallagher Center.

PhilaU Head Coach Herb Magee will be celebrating his 50th year as both a player and coach at the University this season.
