Women's Soccer Enters CACC Post-Season Tournament First Seed; Freshman Standout Sileo named Rookie of the Year

Philadelphia University’s women’s soccer team enters the post-season ranked #1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Lady Rams begin the post-season tournament today, Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 2 p.m. at home verses #8 Felician College.

If the team advances in the tournament, they will compete in the semi-final match Thursday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. The Championship game will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. Wilmington University will host the semi-final and final games.

Freshman standout Trisha Sileo was named the CACC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Year. Sileo, of Islip, N.Y., has been one of the main offensive producers for the Lady Rams in her first collegiate season. She ranks third in the CACC with 30 points, 13 goals, 3.39 shots per game and 1.67 points per game. She is tied for second with four game-winning goals. Sileo is one of three freshmen to make the All-CACC first team this season.

Fellow freshman Kelli Kowalewski, a goal keeper from Shamong, N.J., joins Sileo on the All-CACC first-team. The All-CACC second-team includes senior Ram defenders Alyssa Kline, of Southampton, N.J., and Cari Schenkel, of Pitman, N.J.
