The Working Together Conference will cover a wide variety of IRS and PA Department of Revenue programs that impact all tax professionals. Substantive panel discussions will provide attendees with the latest information and developments in the following areas :

IRS SB/SE and LB&I EXAM PROGRAMS:

Discussion of 2011 IRS Exam Program priorities and tips for effective representation during field and office exams. Distinctions between SB/SE and LB&I exam procedures will also be covered.

INTERNATIONAL ISSUES & IRS GLOBAL INDUSTRY PROGRAM:

Increased IRS oversight of international issues impacting many practitioners. The IRS Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiative and Global High Wealth Industry Examination programs will be discussed by this panel along with other international issues effecting local tax professionals.

IRS CAMPUS COMPLIANCE PROGRAMS:

Current Developments in IRS Correspondence Exam, Automated Underreporter (CP-2000) and Automated Collection System Programs.

IRS FIELD COLLECTION PROGRAM:

Recent changes to IRS Collection policies that impact practitioners representing clients before IRS Field Collection Revenue Officers.

ELECTRONIC FILING AND E-PAYMENTS FROM THE PRACTITIONERS’ PERSPECTIVES:

Experienced practitioners will discuss their firms’ use of e-file and e-pay options for clients. Philadelphia CPA representative on the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC) will participate.

IRS RETURN PREPARER REGULATION & OVERSIGHT:

Latest information on IRS Return Preparer Registration, testing, and CPE requirements along with Circular 230 developments.

PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE:

Latest developments in PA State Taxation discussed by PA DOR and practitioner panelists.
