Meet Our Staff
Services provided at the PhilaU Student Health Center are performed by Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNPs).
CRNPs are licensed, independent practitioners certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. The CRNPs at the PhilaU Student Health Services diagnose and manage acute episodic and chronic illnesses. They provide preventive care, with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. While our nurse practitioners practice autonomously, they also have an off-campus, collaborative physician available for emergency consults if warranted.
This information and more about the scope of practice for CRNPs can be found in the The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners position paper.
